What Monarch’s Privacy Policy Covers
This privacy policy covers the “personal information” that Monarch obtains about you in various contexts, both online and offline, including when you visit Monarch’s websites, communicate with us, or subscribe to Monarch’s email list. The term “personal information” refers to information that identifies, relates to, describes or can be associated with you. Monarch’s website may include links to third party websites and/or applications. Please note that Monarch has no control over the privacy practices of websites or applications that Monarch does not own.

Information Monarch Collects
Monarch obtains information about you from a variety of sources depending on Monarch’s relationship with you. The following are examples of the types of personal information that Monarch collects and how that information is used:

Account Registration: When you create an account, Monarch collects your name, e-mail address, and phone number. You can choose to save certain information in your account to use for future purchases, such as your shipping address, billing address and payment information (“Card On File”). Monarch uses this information to maintain your account, including offering functionalities such as easy checkout.
Subscribe to Email List: When you subscribe to Monarch’s email list, Monarch collects your e-mail address. Monarch uses this information to administer the email list and send promotional information regarding services or products, or information about changes in products or services, or new offerings in products or services.
Browsing Activity and Website Usage: Monarch utilizes Google Analytics to collect information about Monarch’s website to help Monarch identify trends and patterns in how visitors engage with Monarch’s website. No personal information is associated with browsing Monarch’s website.
Communications With Monarch: When you communicate with Monarch, using the contact form provided on Monarch’s website, Monarch will collect your name and email address, as well as any other information that you choose to provide through your message. Monarch uses this information to respond to and/or follow-up on your inquiry or feedback, and to provide information in response to your requests and inquiries.
Booking Services: When you book one of Monarch’s services or classes, Monarch collects your contact information. Monarch uses this information to send you messages about your appointments and classes. When you book a service, Monarch asks many questions related to the service including your history of receiving similar services, purpose of receiving the service, and other information. Monarch uses this information to customize your service experience and ensure your ability to safely receive a certain service.
Purchasing (Online and In Stores): When you place an order for a product on Monarch’s website, Monarch collects your name, contact information, shipping address, payment information, and billing address. When you make a purchase in Monarch’s salon, Monarch collects your payment information. In both cases Monarch uses this information to fulfill your orders for products, and to process your payments for such products. Monarch also uses this information to provide you receipts and order updates.

How Monarch Uses Your Personal Information
In addition to the purposes and uses described above, Monarch uses personal information in the following ways:

Although the sections above describe Monarch’s primary purpose in collecting your personal information, in many situations Monarch has more than one purpose. For example, if you complete an online purchase, Monarch collects your information to perform Monarch’s contract with you, but Monarch also collects your information so that Monarch can quickly and easily respond to any questions about your order after your transaction is complete.

How Monarch Shares Your Personal Information

Service Providers: Monarch shares certain personal information with third parties that perform services to support Monarch’s core business functions and internal operations (e.g., fulfilling orders, delivering packages, complying with your request for the shipment of products to or the provision of services by a third party intermediary, sending postal mail and e-mails, analyzing customer data, providing marketing assistance, processing credit card and debit card payments, and providing customer service).
Social Media Platforms and Networks: Some of Monarch’s website has features such as, plugins, widgets, or and other tools made available by third parties that may result in information being collected or shared between Monarch and the third party. For example, if you use Facebook’s “Like” feature, Facebook may register the fact that you “liked” a product and may post that information on Facebook. Their use of your information is not governed by this privacy policy.
Legal Process: Monarch may disclose personal information in response to subpoenas, warrants, court orders, government inquiries or investigations, or to comply with relevant laws and regulations. Monarch may also disclose information to establish, exercise, or protect the rights of Monarch, employees, agents, and affiliates; to defend against a legal claim; to protect the safety and security of Monarch’s visitors; to detect and protect against fraud; and to take action regarding possible illegal activities or violations of Monarch’s policies.
Business Transfers: Monarch may share personal information with another company that buys some, or all, of the assets or ownership of Monarch, and that company may use and disclose personal information for purposes similar to what is described in this policy. Monarch may also share personal information with prospective purchasers to evaluate the proposed transaction.

Monarch understands that individuals trust Monarch to protect their personal information. While Monarch attempts to protect your personal information in Monarch’s possession, no method of transmission over the internet, or security system is perfect, and Monarch cannot promise that information about you will remain secure in all circumstances.

Accessing Your Personal Information: If you are a Monarch client, you may request access to your personal information by completing and submitting a request by using Monarch’s contact form on Monarch’s website and specifying your request in the designated message box, or by calling 503-583-0827. If required by law, upon request, Monarch will grant you reasonable access to the personal information Monarch has about you.
Updating Information Relating to Your Account: If you have created an account, you can update your name, e-mail address, and other preferences by logging into your account. You may also contact Monarch to update your information by calling 503-583-0827.
Deleting of Your Personal Information: Typically Monarch retains your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. You may, however, request that Monarch delete your personal information by completing and submitting a request by using Monarch’s contact form on Monarch’s website and specifying your request in the designated message box, or by calling 503-583-0827. If required by law, Monarch will grant a request to delete information. Please note that in many situations Monarch must retain all, or a portion, of your personal information to comply with Monarch’s legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce Monarch’s agreements, to protect against fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity, or for another one of Monarch’s business purposes.
Receiving Communications From Monarch: You may choose to provide Monarch with your e-mail address for the purpose of allowing Monarch to send you free newsletters, offers, and other promotional materials. You can stop receiving promotional e-mails at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any promotional e-mail that you receive. If you decide not to receive promotional emails, Monarch may still send you service related communications.

Please note that because this Privacy Policy is comprehensive it may refer to types of information that Monarch collects and shares about people other than yourself.
